CLUB INFORMATION

We're an organization at The Ohio State University. As a group, we come together at Manga Club to share our enjoyment of manga. For a lot of our members, 'manga style' has had a large influence on personal art and storytelling. At Manga Club, we try to help one another out, be it with drawing, writing, or comic-ing in general. Need constructive criticism on a piece? There will always be somebody willing to assist you. We also try to have either an artbook or comic anthology published every quarter. One thing you should note is that you don't have to know how to draw in order to be a part of manga club. We have people of various skill levels, and even people that don't draw at all.

JOINING

The Manga Club at OSU is a free membership for anyone who is willing to participate. We ask that members try to make it to all meetings. Joining our LJ Community is also encouraged. So, all you need to do is show up to the meeting, fill out an application, and you're in. Simple, right?

MEETING INFORMATION

The Manga Club at OSU meets every Friday night starting at 6PM. However, we don't begin the 'business' portion of the meeting until 7PM. Meetings can run until 9PM, but we're usually done by 8:15 or so. (And we often do group activities afterward)

Currently, we meet in Scarlet Suite D of the Ohio Union. (It's in the basement). If you need more directions or help finding it, please contact one of our officers.

There's nothing you really have to bring to meetings, but it would be in your best interest to have paper and some pens/pencils. Also, if you'd like to bring some of your work (ie: sketchbooks), we'd be glad to snatch it from you and shower you with love.
